Our school has been lucky enough to receive mental health and wellbeing sessions from the non-profit organisation, Love Me Love You. These sessions will
be offered exclusively to our Year 5 students during our regular Thursday afternoon Wellbeing timeslot over 3 weeks. We will also be holding a parent session for any parents in the school who wish to develop a greater understanding around mental wellbeing. There will be no charge for any of these sessions.

Love Me Love You
Former first round draft pick and AFL footballer, Lance Picioane established Love Me Love You in 2013 to inspire and build resilience in young adults so that they may overcome the stigma surrounding mental health.
As you'd be aware, Mental Health issues in Australia are on the increase, with 1 in 7 young Australians (aged 4-17) now experiencing a mental health condition and evidence suggesting that 3 in 4 adult mental health conditions emerge by age 24.
Our programs are aimed at developing awareness and understanding around mental wellbeing. PLUS we explore how young people can open conversations with trusted people in non-confrontational environments. An initial conversation can be a life-changing and life-saving thing and at Love Me Love You we aim to bring to life our essence that 'no one travels their journey alone'. More specifically our programs look inside to provide tools and strategies to both students and parents around mental wellness, resilience and coping mechanisms. Our program target primary and secondary school aged children (recommended Grade4 and above) as well as Parents and Guardians specific programs.
