Weekly Overview and Thank you

10-MAY-2020

Dear Families

I hope that you enjoyed ‘wellbeing week’ as much as we did and that we achieved our aim of putting smiles on our students’ faces. The turn out for last Monday’s parade was beyond our wildest expectations, it was terrific seeing our students ‘live’ through Webex in the back half of the week and we are hopeful the staff Dance that was uploaded on Friday was a fun way to end the week.

We are all part of such a wonderful community and “we are all in this together”. Great students. Wonderful families. Inspiring teachers!

Thank you sincerely for the support you continue to give us and for staying strong and connected with our great school.

We are all eagerly waiting for school to return to normal and this morning’s Herald Sun front page gave my heart a bit of an excited jump. I am assured however, that the story, about a return to school in two weeks, is not true! This reporting is frustrating as it gives us all false hope.

No decision has been made on when we will be back in classrooms and we have been advised to plan for all of Term 2 to consist of remote learning.

I promise you that the moment I am told anything different, this will be communicated to you as swiftly as possible.

This week we will be expanding the use of Webex meetings and hoping our students can continue to connect with their teachers and each other at these times. Information on when these virtual conference will take place as well as an outline of the week’s learning are included in the attachment provided.
