Dear Year 4 Families
I am very pleased to confirm that we have been offered a School Camp for our Year 4 students during Term 3 – and it is completely FREE!
It was lovely to go and visit the student’s last week at Camp Manyung and see them complete all the activities with such enthusiasm and determination. Upon their return we have loved hearing about the great experiences, enjoyment, and camaraderie. It is exciting to think that we can offer another wonderful school camp! This also gives students who were unable to participate last week an opportunity to spend a few nights away with their friends and peers.
The Camp – which will be held from August 3-5 (in the fourth week of Term 3) will be run out of the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club.

“Club Lorne Outdoor Education Camp is an exciting concept in group accommodation and school camps. We operate from Lorne Surf Life Saving club located on the Lorne Foreshore Reserve. We also enjoy stunning views of pristine Loutit Bay with Airleys Inlet Lighthouse in the distance and only a short walk to Lorne Pier.
Club Lorne’s beachside location makes it the perfect place to indulge in a whole range of water, beach and bush activities. Our friendly, highly qualified staff will ensure you have the experience of a lifetime with the variety of programs on offer.”
This camp is offered as part of the Government’s Positive Start School Camps initiative. The opportunity is provided to eligible schools (Edithvale is on the list 😊) to help primary and secondary students boost their physical and emotional health and wellbeing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
