EDUCATION WEEK CELEBRATIONS
A massive week of celebrations and events to acknowledge Education Week here at EPS!
Mon – On Monday our Year 5 & 6 students enjoyed a visit from players from the St Kilda Football Club. It was great to hear about being a professional athlete. Our Foundation students also had a visit from Victoria Police. They got to explore the Police cars and hear the sirens up close.
Tue – SPOTLIGHT ON STEM. We had a fabulous afternoon learning about the significant achievements of people in Science and STEM. The secret letter challenge added an element of extra fun when visiting each year-level activity.
Thur – The Kingston Network of Literacy teachers came to view our phonics program across Foundation to Year 3. It was wonderful to be able to share our program and showcase the meaningful work we do here at EPS!
Fri – Wear It Yellow Day. Although the day may have been wet and dreary, the school was a wash with shades of yellow to raise money for the First Nations Not-for-profiit organisation Children’s Ground.
Well done to our School & Student Voice Captains for hosting our Whole School Assembly over Webex this afternoon. It was a great success! It was lovely to see many parents join us virtually.
UNIFORM REMINDER
Now that we are moving into the cooler months please ensure students are wearing our Winter uniform. If you are missing a jumper or jacket we have many in our lost property box located in the main building. Pants/leggings should also be blue not black. Please touch base with the office if you need assistance with uniform requirements.

YEAR 4 -6 BULLY ZERO PARENT EVENING
It Takes a Village – Bully Zero Parent Information Evening
An unmissable event!
Parents and carers are invited to attend our upcoming information evening on cybersafety and bullying.
Wednesday 22nd May, 5.45pm arrival for a 6pm start.
Our guest presenter from Bully Zero will share information to help understand bullying, supporting young people to navigate their social connections and how we can ensure the safe use of technology.
The evening is for parents and carers, and not for the students themselves. The students will be covering these topics in their wellbeing lessons at school.
