NAIDOC WEEK AT EPS
This week across EPS we celebrated NAIDOC week.
The 2024 theme honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture – with fire a symbol of connection to Country, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Next Thursday our school will be represented at the Kingston Koorie Mob event at the Danny Frawley Centre. The day will include a Cultural Awakening, workshops and a session with St Kilda Football Club players.
Kingston Koorie Mob provides:
- An environment that respects, recognises and celebrates cultural identity
- Programs aimed to increase the self-esteem and self-confidence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- A team that will support and assist young people and their families with goal setting, personal development and career counselling
- Individual student mentorship
