2018 Year 5-6 Camp

Year 5-6 Camp at Sovereign Hill

In the hope to make it rich, the year 5/6 students went back in time to the gold rush era on their Sovereign Hill camp. The students participated in a range of hands-on and interactive educational activities that aimed to deepen their knowledge of the 1850s gold rush which tied in closely with their Term 1 History unit. Students were transported back in time and got to try their luck at gold panning in the river, exploring a mine and experience a light and sound show which taught them about the Eureka Stockade. The students had an awesome time and had plenty of stories to tell.
