Dear Parents and caregivers,

The student leaders this year will be organising and running a number of vents this year to raise awareness and fundraise for organisations that we believe are important within our local community.

The first event we will be running this year a Lots of Socks Day to celebrate diversity and an understanding that no two socks (students) are the same.

The idea behind the Lots of Socks initiative is that all types, shapes, sizes of the same thing can be unique in their own way, and yet do the same thing.

Lots of Socks is an International campaign to create conversation and bring awareness of Down syndrome each year.

On Friday 19th March we will celebrate Diversity and International Down Syndrome day by asking students to come to school wearing loud or odd socks.

We can’t wait to see you all in your bright socks.
