SWPBS

Edithvale Primary School is a School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports learning environment. We work with our
students to devleop positive and safe behaviours in the classroom and outside in the yard. This week we have had a
focus on leaving the school safely on bikes and scooters. The same rules apply before and after school that all bikes and
scooters should be walked across the school yard.

Uniform Reminder

Please ensure that our uniform policy is adhered to. Outside sporting uniforms are not part of our uniform and should not be worn at school.
If you are missing an essential piece please take a look at our extensive lost property. Don’t forget we also have a second hand uniform shop that could meet your needs.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

This week we held our AGM on Tuesday evening. At this meeting, we presented the Annual Report of 2023 and our Annual Implementation Plan for 2024, which will be made available to families on our website by the end of the term.

We also had the first meeting of the new council and elected our Office Bearers for this school year:

President – Andrew Murray Vice President – Katie Tobin Treasurer – Olga Bowers-Taylor

Congratulations on your appointment and we thank you for volunteering to support our school.

A massive thank you to our exiting members – Lewis Brown, Michael Cummings, Emma Gierschick, Laura Moore and Kellie Warick. The time and commitment you have given over your terms is greatly appreciated. I would also like to acknowledge our outgoing President Nat Firth. We are very lucky to still have Nat on council this year but I would like to thank her for her time as President. She carried us through the COVID years and has made a significant impact in transitioning our council into a model that supports a healthy mid-sized school of 518 students.

Her commitment and support is greatly valued. More detailed information about our 2024 School Council and the opportunity to join our Sub Committees will be distributed early next week.
