Picking up learning materials from school

Good afternoon 🙂

In the rush to extend students’ holidays and plan for a return to remote learning, the chance to provide students with essential learning materials and resources has initially been missed.

We want to remedy this by putting together small packages of important materials and resources that will help all of our students successfully learn remotely. Today staff will spend time identifying the most important materials (exercise books, lined paper, pencil cases, materials etc) and bag these up ready for collection.

On Wednesday and Thursday this week our teaching and support staff will be available to hand individual bags to students from 2:30-3:15pm.  Bags can be collected near the entry/exit gates that we were using at the end of last term.

As the main risk of introducing coronavirus (COVID-19) to the school environment is from adults, close proximity between adult members of the school community should be avoided when collecting these learning resources.

The most important action school communities can take to reduce the risk of transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19),  is to practise appropriate social distancing.

We look forward to seeing everyone (from a 1.5m distance) tomorrow and Thursday.
