Term 4 Art

Term 4 has been extremely productive in the art room. The big crowd pleaser has been working with clay.

Foundation students have been making and decorating snakes.

The year 2s made these very cute animals.

Year 5s and 6s have made some delicious looking desserts and sweets.

Year 3s did a great job on their clay turtles.

The Year 4s had the challenging task of making dragons.

The woven paper quilt made by our year twos has finally been put up on display in the year two corridor. A big thanks to Max for the installation of this art work.

The year 1s have continued the Hawaiian theme with these tiles. The design was made using a cold wax resist technique and water colour paint.

Term 3 Art

Our talented Edi artists have been very busy in term 3, we had the privilege of being able to display some of their work at the Mordialloc Secondary School art show recently. Here is some of the work they produced…

The year one’s had been learning a little about Hawaii in their classrooms, so we learned about Hawaiian totem poles in the art room and made mini totems with tiki faces painted on them.

In Foundation we learnt all about Vincent Van Gogh and produced these artworks inspired by his Starry Night painting.

The Year 5s and 6s learnt about the history of the guitar and made these amazing paper mache guitar sculptures.

The Year 4s hand sewed these gorgeous pizza pillows.
